**KRISHNAGIRI, November 2, 2024:** The Department of Art and Culture, in collaboration with the Jawahar Youth Clubs, is set to organize district-level competitions for students in various age groups on November 17th at the Government Music School.
The competition, aimed at nurturing young talent and promoting a love for the arts, will feature categories for students aged 5-8, 9-12, and 13-16. Events include vocal performances, Bharatanatyam, folk dance, and painting.
Winners from the district-level competition will go on to represent Krishnagiri at the state-level competition.
The event will begin at 9:15 a.m. at the Government Music School. The vocal competition will focus on classical music, folk songs, patriotic songs, and socially-conscious themes. Film songs, western music, and songs in other languages are not permitted. Similar restrictions apply to other performance categories.
