**New Delhi, India** – Aprilia is set to enter the burgeoning Indian adventure motorcycle segment with the highly anticipated Tuareg 457. Spy shots of a rally-spec version of the bike have surfaced online, confirming its development and potential for a production model.

The Tuareg 457, based on the successful RS457 platform, boasts a rugged design with elements like a tall windscreen, a front beak, aerodynamic fuel tank shrouds, and a large radiator. It also features long travel suspension with gold-finished USD telescopic front forks and a beefy bash plate protecting the engine.

The bike is expected to come with a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch or 18-inch rear wheel, both wrapped in knobby tires for off-road prowess. The Tuareg 457 is likely to share the same 457cc, single-cylinder engine as the RS457, producing around 47 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque. It will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox, slip and assist clutch, and dual-channel ABS.

While the rally-spec model seen in spy shots is intended for the Africa Eco Race in December 2024, the production version is expected to be launched soon. Production is likely to take place at Piaggio’s Baramati plant in India, with an estimated price tag of under Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Tuareg 457 will compete against established players like the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure, promising a thrilling new option for adventure-seeking Indian riders.
