**Amaravati, [Date]** – The sacred Karthika Maasam, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is all set to bring a month-long celebration to Shiva temples across the state. In Amaravati, the famed Panchaarama Kshetram is preparing for a massive influx of devotees, with the festivities kicking off this Saturday.

The Amaravateswara Temple, a part of the Panchaarama, is adorned with vibrant electric decorations, and the temple authorities are working tirelessly to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for the pilgrims.

“We anticipate around three lakh devotees visiting Amaravateswara Temple during Karthika Maasam,” said a temple official. “We are making all necessary arrangements, including queuing lines, cooling tents, and ample security measures.”

The Panchaarama pilgrimage, particularly popular during Karthika Maasam, witnesses devotees prioritize visiting the Amaravateswara Temple, the first of the five shrines. Many pilgrims are expected to arrive at Amaravati by midnight on Sunday to secure their place in the queue for the temple darshan early Monday morning.

The temple authorities have also arranged special buses to facilitate visits to the other four Panchaarama temples – Kumaraarama, Daksharaama, Ksheeraraama, and Bheemaraama – in a single day.

This year, the devotees will be delighted to find the Krishna River flowing with abundant water, making the traditional jal snanam (water bath) at the Amaravateswara Ghat a joyous experience. The authorities have cleaned up the ghat and its surroundings, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for the pilgrims.

The temple authorities are also implementing special cleanliness drives and deploying dedicated sanitation teams to maintain hygiene throughout the month-long celebrations.

The police have also been mobilized to manage the anticipated traffic congestion, ensuring a safe and hassle-free pilgrimage for all devotees.
