**Tiruchendur, Tamil Nadu:** Social activists are demanding the immediate opening of the newly built guesthouse at the famed Tiruchendur Subramanya Swami Temple. The guesthouse was inaugurated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin through video conferencing on the 14th of this month.
Despite being ready, the guesthouse remains unavailable to devotees. With Kanda Sashti festival fast approaching, devotees are facing difficulties finding accommodation in the town.
Thousands of devotees visit the temple daily, and the guesthouse was constructed to provide them with comfortable lodging facilities. The delay in opening the guesthouse has raised concerns among devotees, who believe it is crucial to have the facility available during the upcoming festival.
The authorities are yet to respond to these demands.
