**Bridgetown, Barbados:** West Indies secured a dominant eight-wicket victory over England in the first ODI of the series, utilizing the Duckworth-Lewis method to claim a win in a rain-affected match. The victory gives West Indies a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

The match was a rollercoaster ride with England struggling to post a competitive total, ultimately being bowled out for 209 in 45.1 overs. Gudakesh Motie was the star performer for the West Indies, taking a stunning four-wicket haul.

England’s innings was marred by a series of wickets falling at regular intervals. Captain Liam Livingstone top-scored with a fighting 48, while Sam Curran contributed 37 runs. Motie was supported by Matthew Forde and Jayden Seales, who both picked up two wickets each.

Chasing 209, West Indies got off to a flying start with openers Brandon King and Evin Lewis putting on 118 for the first wicket.
