**Kachchh, Gujarat:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reiterated India’s unwavering commitment to territorial integrity, declaring that the government will not compromise on “even an inch” of the country’s land. Speaking during his traditional Diwali celebrations with security forces in Gujarat’s Kachchh, PM Modi highlighted the government’s focus on modernizing the military and achieving self-reliance in the defense sector.
“Today, when we are moving so fast towards the goal of developed India, you all are protectors of this dream,” PM Modi told the soldiers. He stressed the importance of border tourism as a crucial aspect of national security, noting the potential of Kutch in this area.
Emphasizing India’s robust defense capabilities, PM Modi said, “While we see one army, one air force and one navy individually, when they unite, they appear as one hundred and eleven.”
Continuing his annual tradition, PM Modi celebrated Diwali with personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force at Lakki Nala in the Sir Creek area of Kutch. He visited the BSF outpost along the Pakistan border, engaging with soldiers and exchanging Diwali greetings.
Since assuming office in 2014, PM Modi has made celebrating Diwali with military personnel at various locations across the country a hallmark of his tenure. Each year, he visits military facilities to interact with troops and mark the festival.
