**New Delhi:** Despite a promising premise and a star-studded cast including Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” has failed to capture the magic of its predecessors. The film, which attempts to recapture the horror-comedy formula, falls flat due to a predictable plot, repetitive characters, and a monotonous pace.
While the film opens with a vibrant dance sequence and an intriguing setup, the story quickly descends into familiar territory. Rooh Baba, played by Kartik Aaryan, delivers his trademark humor, but his character feels repetitive and typecast. The film’s plot revolves around the usual ghostly vengeance tale, with Monjulika, the vengeful spirit, killing her stepbrother and returning for revenge.
Despite the presence of talented actors like Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit, who bring a touch of charm and grace to the screen, the film feels formulaic and drags on. The climax, however, is a highlight, along with the performances of the two veteran actresses.
The film’s shortcomings include weak editing, overlong scenes, and uninspired songs. The ambiance, enhanced by stunning lighting and set designs, is overshadowed by the predictable storytelling.
While the film boasts a star-studded cast and promising concept, it ultimately fails to live up to its blockbuster ambitions.
