**Dum Dum, November 1:** The Dum Dum Milan Sangha is celebrating its 51st Kali Puja with a unique twist, offering devotees the opportunity to witness the divine presence of Lord Jagannath alongside the revered goddess Kali. The theme of this year’s Shyama Puja is “Sona Mayer Jagannath Darshan,” showcasing a golden-adorned Kali alongside a majestic 51-foot-tall statue of Jagannath placed at the entrance of the pandal.
The pandal, located near the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport’s Gate No. 1, exudes an aura of spirituality and grandeur, designed to captivate visitors. The inauguration ceremony was graced by dignitaries including Ram Chandra Das Mahapatra, the Dwaitapati of the Jagannath Puri Temple, Mrs. Kathy Giles Diaz, the US Consul General in Kolkata, and Swami Shubhendu Muni Baba, a prominent scholar on Jagannath and Guru of the Udasin Sampradaya.
The festivities commenced on October 29th and will continue till November 4th. The puja committee has arranged a vibrant cultural program featuring performances by renowned artists like Rupankar Bagchi, Trusha Chattopadhyay, Shabbir Kumar, Amit Ganguly, and others. Each day is a spectacle of dance, music, and Jatra, attracting huge crowds to the pandal.
