**Paris, France** – Grigor Dimitrov is looking to make a strong statement at the Paris Masters this week as he aims to secure a spot in the year-end ATP Finals. The Bulgarian’s chances received a boost after Andrey Rublev, currently eighth in the Live Rankings, suffered a shock second-round exit, leaving the door open for Dimitrov to make a late push for Turin.

Dimitrov, currently ranked 10th, will face Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the second round on Wednesday. The 33-year-old is the clear favorite against the Argentine, who has struggled against top-10 opponents. While Etcheverry, ranked 40th, pulled off a first-round upset in Shanghai by taking a set from Jannik Sinner, his overall record against top players remains a challenge.
