Wed Oct 30 05:30:00 UTC 2024: ## Stand-up Comedian Kunal Kamra “Accepts” Job at Ola Electric with Strict Conditions

Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra has accepted Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal’s offer to work with the company, but only under specific conditions. The acceptance follows weeks of public criticism from Kamra regarding Ola Electric’s service center issues, which he claims are impacting customers, particularly daily wage workers who rely on their electric scooters for work.

The feud began earlier this month when Kamra shared a picture on X showing a large number of Ola scooters parked at a service center, questioning the quality of service and the lack of a voice for Indian consumers. Aggarwal responded by calling the tweet “paid” and challenged Kamra to help fix the issues himself.

Now, Kamra has outlined his demands, which include:

* **Complete all scooter repairs within seven business days** from service request at authorized centers.
* **Provide temporary replacement scooters or daily conveyance reimbursement of Rs 500** for repairs exceeding seven days.
* **Offer customers Rs 500 per delayed day (up to Rs 50,000)** for prolonged repairs.
* **Sell every new Ola Electric scooter with two insurance policies**: one for the vehicle and one for services, with the service insurance being free.

Kamra also brought the issue to the attention of Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, urging government intervention to address the plight of customers struggling with service issues.

Aggarwal has yet to officially respond to Kamra’s demands. Meanwhile, Ola Electric CFO Harish Abhichandani maintains that 99% of customer complaints have been resolved through their redressal mechanism.

The ongoing public dispute highlights the growing concerns surrounding after-sales service in the electric vehicle market. Kamra’s acceptance of the “job” under these specific conditions puts pressure on Ola Electric to improve their service quality and address customer grievances.
