Wed Oct 30 07:19:03 UTC 2024: ## Brisbane Heat Ready for First Home Match in WBBL Season

**Brisbane, QLD –** The Brisbane Heat will be looking to continue their winning start to the Weber Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) season when they host the Melbourne Renegades at Allan Border Field tomorrow night.

The Heat are coming off a victory against the reigning champions, Adelaide Strikers, while the Renegades suffered a narrow loss to the Sydney Sixers.

The Heat have made a change to their squad, with young batter/keeper Kira Holmes replacing injured wicket-keeper Mikayla Wrigley. Holmes, a recent addition to the squad, played four games for the Heat in the Spring T20 Challenge earlier this month, including the Semi-Final and Final.

The match will be a crucial one for both teams, with the Renegades looking to bounce back from their opening loss. The Heat will be hoping to build on their strong start and secure their second victory of the season.

The match will be broadcast live on Foxtel, Kayo and ABC Radio, with the first ball scheduled for 6.10pm Qld time.

**Tickets are on sale now for the WBBL Gabba Smash, presented by Ward, which will see the Heat take on the Strikers at the Gabba on Saturday 9 November.** This will be the first time the Heat have played a night match under lights at the venue.

**Looking ahead, the Heat will travel to Melbourne on Friday to play the Hobart Hurricanes before heading to Perth for a two-match stint next week.**

The WBBL is an exciting and competitive league, and the Brisbane Heat are a strong contender for the championship. With their impressive start and a packed schedule ahead, the Heat are poised for a successful season.
