**New Delhi:** A Delhi resident, Mohit Jain, has accused quick commerce platform Blinkit of delivering the wrong item and failing to provide adequate customer support. Jain, who ordered a 1-gram gold coin and a 10-gram silver coin through Blinkit’s prepaid service, received a 0.5-gram gold coin instead.
Jain detailed his ordeal on X, stating that he had authorized his brother to receive the package as he was out. Upon returning home, he discovered the discrepancy – a 0.5-gram Malabar gold coin with a rose design instead of the 1-gram Mata Lakshmi coin he had ordered.
Efforts to report the issue to Blinkit’s customer support were met with challenges. The return window closed within 20 minutes, preventing Jain from reaching an executive. Attempts to contact the delivery agent were also unsuccessful, with the agent acknowledging the delivery of a coin but stating he couldn’t assist with the mix-up.
Jain further substantiated his claims by sharing a picture of the 0.5-gram coin alongside screenshots of his order details, clearly showing he had ordered a 24 kt, 1 gm Goddess Lakshmi gold coin from Malabar Gold & Diamonds. His conversation with Blinkit’s automated support system, which closed the complaint window and offered no resolution, was also shared.
This incident has sparked discussions on social media, highlighting concerns surrounding customer service, particularly for high-value orders, in the quick commerce sector. Jain’s experience serves as a cautionary tale for individuals considering placing valuable orders through such platforms.
