**Kochi:** Nishad Yusuf, the celebrated film editor known for his work in films like “Thallumaala” and “Unda,” passed away on Wednesday morning. He was 43. Yusuf was found dead in his flat in Panampilly early Wednesday.
Yusuf’s notable works include “Thallumaala,” “Unda,” “Operation Java,” and “Saudi Vellakka.” He was also the editor of the upcoming big-budget film “Kanguva,” starring Surya and directed by Shiva, which is set to release on November 14th.
Yusuf won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor in 2022 for his work in “Thallumaala.” He was also working on upcoming projects including the Tarun Moorthy-Mohanlal film and Mammootty’s “Basooka.”
His untimely demise has shocked the film industry, leaving a void in the world of Malayalam cinema.
