Heavy downpours began on Tuesday, inundating villages, sweeping away cars, and causing widespread disruptions to rail lines and highways. Near Malaga, a train carrying 300 passengers derailed due to the floods, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. The high-speed rail service between Valencia city and Madrid remains suspended.
