The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the dates for JEE Mains 2025, scheduled to take place in two phases. The first phase will be held from January 22 to 31, 2025, while the second phase is slated for April 2025. Experts recommend that students appear in both sessions for various advantages.

**Benefits of Appearing in Both Sessions:**

* **Improved Scores:** NTA considers the higher score from either session for the final result. This offers students a chance to improve their final ranking.
* **Pre-Exam Experience for Class 12 Students:** Experts advise class 12 students to take both exams as they provide a valuable pre-exam experience before board exams and subsequent JEE Advanced. The first session happens after their pre-board exams, while the second follows their board exams.
* **Two Chances for Class 12 Pass-Outs:** For students who have already passed class 12, the first session offers a better chance to appear with full preparation, as they have completed their syllabus. This gives them a crucial advantage over current class 12 students.

**Changes in Syllabus and Exam Pattern:**

Experts advise students to focus on the revised syllabus, as certain units and chapters from Chemistry have been removed. This presents a chance to score higher in Chemistry. Additionally, the exam pattern has been revised with 25 compulsory questions in each paper, which might lead to lower scores but is compensated by well-prepared students achieving good percentiles.

**Registration and Previous Year’s Data:**

Registration for JEE Mains 2025 is expected to begin soon. In 2024, registration opened on November 1st and lasted for over a month. Over 12 lakh students registered for the exam, with 11.7 lakh appearing in the January session. NTA has also announced dates for NEET UG and CUET exams.
