Tue Oct 29 02:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Firecracker Shop Explodes in Hyderabad, Panic Ensues Ahead of Diwali

**Hyderabad, India** – A fire erupted at a wholesale firecracker shop in Ramkote, Hyderabad, on Sunday night, sending shoppers fleeing in panic just days before Diwali. The incident, which occurred at Paras Fireworks, was captured on video and quickly went viral, showing fireworks exploding inside the shop as panicked customers scrambled for safety.

The fire, which caused significant damage to the shop and its stock, was reportedly caused by an unknown source. Despite the chaotic scene, police confirmed that no casualties were reported.

Firefighters arrived at the scene within minutes, but the explosions from the remaining fireworks created a challenging situation for them. The fire was eventually put out by 10:00 pm.

The shop, however, was found to be operating illegally without a license. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident and have vowed to take strict action against the owners.

“The shop has no certificate. It was an illegal shop. We will take strict action against them,” Assistant Commissioner of Police K Shankar, Sultan Bazar, told India Today.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of firecracker shops in the city, especially during the busy Diwali festival. Authorities are urging citizens to exercise caution and to only purchase fireworks from licensed vendors.
