Mon Oct 28 23:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Vikings Receiver Jordan Addison Denies Trade Request, Insists “Free 3” Post Was Misinterpreted

**EAGAN, Minn. -** Minnesota Vikings receiver Jordan Addison has addressed speculation surrounding his recent social media post, emphatically denying that he requested a trade. The post, featuring his No. 3 jersey with the caption “Free 3,” sparked widespread rumors among fans and media alike.

Addison, however, explained that the phrase has been a personal mantra for him since his college days at the University of Pittsburgh. “People just try to make something out of anything,” Addison said Monday. “It ain’t nothing.” He even presented a screenshot of an old Instagram post from his time at Pitt, showcasing the same caption.

Addison’s production has indeed decreased in his second season, but he attributes this to factors including an ankle injury that sidelined him for two games and the Vikings’ league-leading low number of pass attempts per game.

“No, I’m straight,” Addison said, dismissing any suggestion of dissatisfaction with his role. While acknowledging he wants to perform better, he emphasized his commitment to the team and his dedication to improving. “Just keep getting open,” he added. “That’s my job as a receiver, and that’s what I’m going to keep doing.”

The Vikings will look to turn things around this Sunday night when they host the Indianapolis Colts at U.S. Bank Stadium.
