Mon Oct 28 19:39:24 UTC 2024: ## JEE Main 2025 Registrations Open: Chance to Secure Seats in Top Engineering Colleges

**New Delhi:** The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened registrations for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. Aspiring engineers can now apply for the exam, which will be held in two sessions.

**Session 1:** The first session will be held from **January 22 to 31, 2025**. Applications for this session will be accepted until **9 PM on November 22, 2024**.

**Session 2:** Applications for the second session will open on **January 31, 2025**. Dates for the second session are yet to be announced.

**Eligibility and Admissions:** The JEE Main exam serves as the gateway for admission to various prestigious engineering institutes across India, including 32 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 26 Triple ITs, and 38 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

**Important Points:**

* Both sessions of the JEE Main 2025 will be conducted online.
* Candidates can apply for either one or both sessions.
* The final merit list for admission to engineering colleges will be prepared based on the JEE Main ranks.

**Other News:**

Besides the JEE Main announcement, several other significant news items have been reported. Colleges in Bihar have been mandated to undergo NAAC evaluation for central grants. The Bihar government is planning to support struggling colleges to meet the NAAC criteria.

Meanwhile, the Indian Railways is recruiting for approximately 50,000 positions including Assistant Loco Pilots and Junior Engineers. The Bihar government has also announced the recruitment of around 40,000 individuals before Diwali, providing a much-needed boost to employment opportunities.
