Tue Oct 29 01:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Young Dodger Fan Catches Historic Grand Slam Ball, Lives Out Baseball Dream

**Los Angeles, CA** – Ten-year-old Zachary’s day started with a supposed dentist appointment, but it turned into a dream come true at Dodger Stadium. After being told by his parents he was going to the dentist, Zachary was surprised with tickets to Game 1 of the World Series. He was already excited to be at the stadium, but what happened next was truly unforgettable.

In the bottom of the 10th inning, with the Dodgers trailing 3-2, Freddie Freeman hit a walk-off grand slam. The ball, launched directly toward Zachary and his parents, bounced off the seat in front of them and landed in his hands.

“He was just crying – the tears streaming down his eyes and a big smile on his face,” said Zachary’s father, Nico. “He had just tears of joy.”

Zachary, a die-hard Dodgers fan, was overwhelmed with emotion. Fans surrounding him, even those rooting for the Yankees, were thrilled for the young boy and showered him with congratulations.

“Everyone wanted to get a picture with me. Everyone wanted to see the ball. I was just mobbed,” Zachary said.

His father described the moment as incredible, and added, “Even the Yankees fans out there were blown away by what happened and actually kind of excited by it. It was just such an amazing atmosphere.”

The family is now hoping to get the historic ball signed by Freddie Freeman himself. With the World Series still in progress, Zachary is hoping for more surprises from his parents. Maybe another “dentist appointment” will lead to another unforgettable experience at the stadium.
