**Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala:** A minor accident involving the escort vehicles of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took place on Wednesday while he was travelling to Thiruvananthapuram. The incident occurred in Vamanapuram when a scooter rider abruptly crossed in front of the lead vehicle in the convoy.
The sudden manoeuvre forced the driver of the Chief Minister’s vehicle to brake abruptly, causing a chain reaction that led to a collision involving five vehicles. The police vehicle following the CM’s car collided with it, causing minor damage. A commando vehicle, a police escort vehicle, and an ambulance were also involved in the accident.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan continued his journey in the same vehicle as it sustained minimal damage. The escort vehicles that were damaged were replaced, and the Chief Minister continued his journey with the renewed security measures.
