**Jaipur, Rajasthan:** The festival of Dhanteras brought a wave of spending across Rajasthan, with markets overflowing with shoppers and crores of rupees changing hands. In Jodhpur, 64 farmers from 20 villages purchased 64 tractors from a single showroom, having waited for an auspicious moment to make their purchase.

Meanwhile, in Gujarat, two devotees gifted a 23-kilogram silver palanquin and chariot to the deity Sanwaliya Seth. These wooden structures were meticulously adorned with silver work.

The festive cheer was palpable throughout the state, with markets in Jaipur and other cities bursting at the seams. Stores were adorned with vibrant lights, and shoppers flocked to purchase gold, silver, utensils, vehicles, and clothing. To manage the crowds, authorities in several cities adjusted traffic arrangements.

A special event took place at the Brahma Temple in Pushkar (Ajmer), where the doors to the Lord Kubera temple were opened for the day, offering devotees a rare opportunity to worship. The doors will remain open only for this day and will be closed again on November 2nd, the day of Govardhan Puja.

To manage the traffic influx, Jaipur authorities have implemented a restriction on city mini buses entering the walled city from certain points. Additionally, devotees are flocking to the Ganesh Temple at Moti Dungri in Jaipur to offer prayers for their newly purchased vehicles.

Dhanteras marks the beginning of the five-day Diwali festival, celebrating prosperity and new beginnings. This year, the festivities seem to have brought a surge of economic activity to the state of Rajasthan.
