**Katni, October 27, 2024:** The district of Katni will be celebrating Ayurveda Day, also known as Dhanvantari Jayanti, on a grand scale on October 29th, 2024. The event, organized by the District Ayush Office Katni under the guidance of Collector Dilip Kumar Yadav, aims to promote Ayurveda and its benefits for overall well-being.

The celebrations will encompass various activities at the District Ayush Office and all Ayush dispensaries within the district. Notably, the Ayushman Arogya Mandir organizations will be conducting free health camps focused on the theme of “Ayurveda Innovations for Holistic Health.” These camps will offer consultations on Ayurveda diet and lifestyle, yoga practices, and the importance of Sadvratya, Achar Rasayan, and Medhya Rasayan for a healthy life. Attendees will also receive free health check-ups and Ayurvedic medicine distribution.

Furthermore, as part of the “One District, One Medicinal Plant” (ODOP) scheme, the district has selected “Ashwagandha” as its focus plant. The event will include discussions with farmers on the cultivation of this medicinal herb.

The District Ayush Officer of Katni has urged the public to actively participate in the Ayurveda Day celebrations on October 29th.

In the lead-up to the main event, on October 27th, various Ayush institutions in the district organized events centered on Ayurveda diet and innovations, benefiting 225 people.
