**Raipur, October 28, 2024:** After a six-year-long legal battle, the Chhattisgarh government has finally released the final result for the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment of 2018. The announcement comes after a High Court directive and numerous protests from hopeful candidates who had been waiting for the results since the interviews in August-September of last year.

The 2018 recruitment process was marred by delays and legal challenges, initially involving 650 positions which were later increased to 975. Candidates went through physical fitness tests, written exams, and interviews in 2021. Following legal intervention, an additional 370 male candidates were called for physical fitness tests in July 2024.
The final selection process involved 1436 candidates who were chosen for the 975 available positions. The release of the final result brings an end to the long-standing dispute and has been met with jubilation by the aspiring police officers.
