Mon Oct 28 00:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Ducks Look to Bounce Back Against Devils After Tough Loss

The Anaheim Ducks are set to face the New Jersey Devils on Sunday evening, looking to bounce back from a tight 2-1 loss to the Rangers on Saturday. The puck drops at 4:00 PM PT.

Despite falling behind by two goals in the third period, the Ducks managed to pull within one thanks to Olen Zellweger’s first NHL goal. However, they were unable to tie the game and force overtime.

“We didn’t play well in the first period and the shots reflected that,” Head Coach Greg Cronin said. “We thought we picked it up halfway through the second period, but we’re just having a hard time scoring goals right now.”

The Ducks are winless when scoring only one goal this season, emphasizing their need to find more offense.

Meanwhile, the Devils, currently battling the Rangers for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division, are coming off an overtime loss to the Islanders on Friday. They started the season strong but have struggled recently, with a record of 1-3-2 since their Prague trip.

“We were chasing the game right from the get-go and that’s a challenge, but guys stayed with it until the end,” said Devils Head Coach Sheldon Keefe. “I thought we got better as the game went on and we sort of adjusted back to the way this game was being played. Listen, the league is hard.”

Keefe acknowledged the tough schedule his team has faced, with only two practices in the past 16 days. Despite the challenges, he was encouraged by his team’s fight and ability to earn a point.

The game will be a test for the Ducks, who will need to find their scoring touch and overcome a tough opponent on the road.
