**Chennai, India** – Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has hinted at a potential extension of his Indian Premier League (IPL) career into the 2025 season, sparking excitement among fans.

Dhoni, who holds the record for the most IPL appearances, was widely expected to retire after the conclusion of the 2024 season. However, in a recent promotional event, he hinted at a desire to “enjoy the game for the next few years.”

“I just want to enjoy whatever last few years of cricket I can play,” Dhoni said. He also acknowledged the challenges of maintaining peak performance and the commitments associated with professional sport.

The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman further clarified his intention to remain active in the IPL, emphasizing the need to “keep myself fit for nine months so that I can play two and a half months of IPL.”
