**Boynton Beach, FL** – A new, multi-media, immersive art experience titled “Da Vinci: Genius” is bringing the genius of Leonardo Da Vinci to life in South Florida. After successful runs in Berlin and Amsterdam, the exhibit makes its U.S. debut at the PBS South Florida studios in Boynton Beach, starting November 2nd, 2024.
The 45-minute show takes visitors on a 360-degree journey through Da Vinci’s art, drawings, and inventions, accompanied by narration and music. Interactive elements, like touching walls to create color swirls or pressing a bar for descriptions, enhance the experience.
“Da Vinci: Genius” was created by a team of artists, designers, and innovators, including Phoenix Immersive, flora&faunavisions, and composer Sasha. South Florida PBS, recognizing the growing trend of immersive art, partnered with Phoenix Immersive to bring the exhibit to the region.
“The immersive era is upon us, and it promises to be a journey of discovery and wonder,” said Joyce Belloise, Senior VP of Content and Station Manager for South Florida PBS.
The exhibit also includes a post-show experience, offering visitors a chance to participate in hands-on activities inspired by Da Vinci’s work. Guests can create art based on his geometric designs, sketch their own inventions, and even collaborate on polyphonic music.
Bert van der Ryd, co-founder of Phoenix Immersive, emphasized the importance of engaging young people in culture and history through immersive experiences. He believes that “Da Vinci: Genius” can spark interest in museums and further exploration of the Renaissance period.
“Da Vinci: Genius” opens at the PBS South Florida studios in Boynton Beach on November 2nd, 2024, and runs through April 2025.
