**Rohtak, Haryana:** Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old pregnant woman in Haryana. The victim’s body was found buried in a pit in an abandoned area near Rohtak.
The accused, identified as Sanju (also known as Saleem) and Pankaj, have confessed to the crime. A third suspect, Ritik, is still at large and police are actively searching for him.
The victim’s brother reported her missing on October 22nd to the Delhi Police. He suspected that a man his sister had recently befriended, later identified as Sanju, might be involved in her disappearance.
Police investigations revealed that the victim was in a relationship with Sanju and had been pressuring him to marry her due to her pregnancy.
On October 21st, Sanju, Pankaj, and Ritik rented a car and took the victim for a drive. The victim, who was fasting for Karwa Chauth, reportedly had a heated argument with Sanju. The accused then drove to Madina in Rohtak district, where they allegedly killed the woman and buried her body in a four-foot deep pit.
The victim’s body was recovered from the pit by police, confirming the initial suspicions of foul play.
The police are currently investigating the case and seeking to apprehend the third suspect, Ritik. Family members of the victim have also corroborated the information that she was pregnant.
