**Guwahati, [Date]:** Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya has asserted that India is working tirelessly to promote global harmony, drawing upon its rich spiritual and cultural heritage to foster universal brotherhood and friendship among nations.

Addressing the 4th National Sanatan Conference in Guwahati yesterday, Acharya emphasized that India, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, is dedicated to strengthening democracy and promoting inclusive development. This, he believes, is crucial to creating a global order based on friendship and shared values.

The Governor highlighted India’s ancient philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, which translates to “the world is one family.” He emphasized that this principle serves as a guiding light for India’s efforts to promote unity on an international level.

Acharya called upon institutions and individuals across India to embrace and promote the nation’s spiritual and cultural values, accelerating India’s rise as a global leader. He lauded the Brahma Rashtra Ekam Vishwa Mahasangha for organizing the conference, which he believes will play a vital role in spreading India’s inherent values and strengthening its philosophical and cultural foundations.

The Governor also paid tribute to the many enlightened individuals throughout India’s history whose wisdom and teachings have enriched the nation’s cultural legacy. He stressed that their lives serve as an inspiration to dedicate oneself to the progress of the nation.

Echoing India’s long-held commitment to global harmony, Acharya reaffirmed the country’s continued efforts to spread human values and combat bigotry, ultimately strengthening the foundation for peace and progress. He expressed confidence that Indian values and culture are gaining increasing recognition and appreciation on the international stage, citing the growing global acceptance of International Day of Yoga as a testament to this trend.

The conference was attended by a distinguished gathering including former Gauhati High Court Judge Justice Ajit Borthakur, Cotton University Vice Chancellor Ramesh Chandra Deka, and Brahma Rashtra Ekam Vishwa Mahasangha founder president Dr. Sachin Sanatani.
