Sat Oct 26 11:47:38 UTC 2024: On October 26, 2024, the Kotturpuram police in Chennai arrested two individuals for snatching a mobile phone from Ganesan, a local resident. The incident occurred while Ganesan was walking on Ponniamman Koil Street. The arrested suspects are V. Rahul, 19, from Triplicane, and S. Nitish Kumar, 18, from Thiruvanmiyur. Following their interrogation, police also apprehended H. Mubarak Basha, 22, from Korukkupet, who was identified as the buyer of the stolen phone. Investigations have revealed that the suspects are linked to a series of phone-snatching cases in Thiruvanmiyur and Velachery.
