This partnership means Serene Productions will now co-own Dharma Productions, which includes its digital wing, Dharmatic Entertainment, valuing the company at ₹2,000 crore. Both Karan and Adar presented a united front at a Diwali party, showcasing their collaboration.
Karan will continue to play a significant role, serving as Executive Chairman, and expressed the partnership as a combination of emotional storytelling and innovative business strategies. Adar emphasized aspirations to grow Dharma Productions further. The collaboration aligns with Dharma’s reputation as a premier film production firm in India, founded by Karan’s father, Yash Johar, in 1976.
