– Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee confirmed the state’s preparedness and highlighted the establishment of a 24×7 control room for monitoring the situation.
– Affected districts include Purba and Paschim Medinipur, North and South 24 Parganas, and Kolkata, which will experience heavy rainfall and high winds up to 120 kmph.
– The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has also set up its own control room and canceled leaves for employees involved in essential services during the cyclone’s impact period (October 23-26).
– Residents are warned of hazardous conditions, including heavy rainfall and storm surges, and fishermen are advised to stay out of the sea.
