– They discovered a Telegram channel that shared CCTV footage of the explosion, leading them to seek information from Telegram about the group’s activities.
– Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Goel has mentioned that the investigation is ongoing and it’s too early to draw conclusions.
– The explosion, reported as a crude bomb, was analyzed and found to contain traces of potassium chlorate, hydrogen peroxide, and electrical wires.
– The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is expected to take over the case for further investigation.
– In related news, J&K National Conference president Farooq Abdullah condemned a militant attack in Kashmir and called for the cessation of terrorism by Pakistan to foster friendly relations with India. The attack resulted in 7 deaths and 5 injuries near the Sonamarg health resort. Abdullah asserted that dialogue is not possible until Pakistan halts violence in Jammu and Kashmir.
