Sat Oct 19 17:20:00 UTC 2024: McDonald’s is reintroducing the McRib to its UK menu, nearly a decade after its last appearance in 2016. This pork-based sandwich, first launched in 1981, has gained a cult following due to its limited-time offers. While it has been a permanent menu item in countries like Germany and Luxembourg, it has only returned sporadically in the UK since being removed in 2005.

Thomas O’Neill, Head of Menu at McDonald’s UK, emphasized the popularity and significance of the McRib, attributing its return to strong customer demand through petitions and social media. The sandwich features a unique pork patty, topped with barbecue sauce, pickles, and onions, and is served on a long bun.

The McRib is available for a limited time, with a price of £4.49 for a standalone burger and £6.19 as part of a medium extra value meal. McDonald’s has not specified the duration of this offer, encouraging customers to act quickly.
