Although appointed on October 8, Bruzon’s presence on the touchline remains in doubt, with reserves team coach Bino George likely to take charge for the match. Bruzon, the former coach of Bangladesh Premier League’s Bashundhara Kings, has a successful track record, winning four titles with the club.
The delay in Bruzon’s visa application has already caused challenges, as East Bengal is struggling in the league, sitting at the bottom of the table with no points after four matches. This poor performance follows the departure of former coach Carles Cuadrat, who left after five consecutive losses. Bino George, who holds an AFC Pro license and has previous coaching experience with Gokulam Kerala and in the Santosh Trophy, is currently managing the team.
