**New Delhi, October 17, 2024:** The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the UGC NET June re-examination, held in August and September 2024. A total of 170,734 candidates have qualified the exam, with 4,970 securing Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), 53,694 qualifying for Assistant Professor only, and 1,12,070 for PhD admissions only.
The re-exam was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 280 cities in India, after the original June exam was cancelled due to concerns about its integrity.
Candidates can access their results on the NTA website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, by entering their application number and date of birth. The final answer keys for all subjects have been released, with some questions being dropped and awarded full marks to all candidates who attempted them.
The NTA has also announced the category-wise cut-off marks for the exam. Notably, the number of candidates who appeared for the re-exam was significantly lower than the original June exam, with 2,24,356 fewer candidates taking the re-test.
The UGC NET is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor positions, and PhD admissions in Indian universities and colleges.
Candidates are advised to keep a copy of their scorecard for future reference.
