**HYDERABAD, INDIA -** A man from Mumbai, identified as Salman Salim Thakur, has been arrested for vandalizing the Muthyalamma Temple in Secunderabad on October 14th. Police investigations revealed that Thakur, a B.E. Computer Engineering graduate, was influenced by radical Islamic preachers and had previously been involved in similar acts of desecration in Mumbai.

Thakur, who was attending a personality development workshop at the Metropolis Hotel, entered the temple at 4:30 a.m. and desecrated the main idol. His social media activity revealed a growing hatred towards Hindus and idol worship practices.

Following the incident, the Hyderabad City Police launched a crackdown on hotels and lodges operating in the North Zone, highlighting the importance of adhering to legal regulations and security measures. The police have suspended the trade licence of Metropolis Hotel and sealed its premises, registering a case against the hotel management and the event organiser, Munawar Zama.

Hotel owners in the North Zone were directed to comply with stricter regulations, including maintaining visitor registers, submitting daily entries to the local SHO, collecting ID proofs of guests, installing CCTV cameras, and obtaining permission for commercial events. The police warned of strict action against any hotel management found to be involved in illegal activities such as prostitution or drug peddling.

The investigation into the temple desecration is ongoing, and the police have urged the public to cooperate and avoid spreading rumours.
