**Mumbai, India (October 18, 2024):** DCW Limited, a leading manufacturer of Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC), announced today a significant expansion of its production capacity by 30,000 metric tonnes (MT), bringing the total capacity to 50,000 MT. This phased expansion, which is expected to be completed by the end of Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26), will be achieved through new installations, optimizing existing facilities, and process improvements.
The first phase of the expansion will add 20,000 MT in the second half of Q2 FY26, followed by another 10,000 MT by the end of FY26. This expansion is driven by the growing demand for CPVC, a versatile thermoplastic used in applications such as hot and cold water pipes, industrial liquid handling, and other industries.
“This investment reflects our commitment to meeting the increasing demand for CPVC while maintaining our high quality standards,” said Bakul Jain, the current Managing Director of DCW Limited. “We are leveraging our existing infrastructure and integrating our own Suspension PVC (S-PVC) as raw material, resulting in cost savings and operational stability.”
The ₹140 Crore investment will be funded through bank loans and internal accruals.
**Leadership Changes**
Alongside the capacity expansion, DCW also announced leadership changes. Pramod Kumar Jain will step down as Chairman and Managing Director on October 31, 2024, becoming Chairman Emeritus. Bakul Jain will assume the role of Chairman on November 1, 2024.
