David, born on September 1, 1977, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, made her international debut for India at the tender age of 17 in 1995. Her exceptional bowling skills immediately made an impact on the global stage, establishing her as a cornerstone of the Indian women’s cricket team.

One of her most notable achievements was her incredible bowling figures of 8/53 against England in a Test match at Jamshedpur, a record that remains unbroken in women’s Test cricket. Throughout her career, she played in 10 Tests, capturing 41 wickets. However, David was even more dominant in the ODI format, taking 141 wickets in 97 matches, becoming India’s second-highest wicket-taker in women’s ODIs.
