The match went down to the wire, with the Konak Suryas needing 2 runs off the final delivery to secure victory. However, Yusuf Pathan was run out attempting a second run, leaving the scores tied and forcing a Super Over.
Earlier in the game, Yusuf Pathan had delivered a blistering innings of 85 runs from 38 balls, hitting 6 fours and 8 sixes to bring the Suryas within reach of the target. The Southern Super Stars, meanwhile, relied on a strong performance from Hamilton Masakadza, who scored 83 runs off 58 balls, including 8 fours and 5 sixes.
