**New Delhi, October 13:** Delhi Capitals’ star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has left his franchise owners perplexed after a cryptic tweet late last night. The post, which has gone viral, questioned his future with the team, leaving the ownership group wondering about his intentions.

Pant’s tweet, “If I go to the auction, will I be sold or not and for how much ??,” came just weeks after one of the owners publicly stated that the franchise would retain him. “Pant will definitely be retained,” JSW Group owner Parth Jindal had told national media on October 4.

The tweet also follows a meeting between Pant and co-owner Kiran Kumar Grandhi in Dubai last week. Sources indicate that Pant traveled to Dubai after the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur and discussed his retention and the franchise’s future plans.

While Pant’s performance in Test cricket has been stellar, his performance in white-ball formats has been inconsistent. This, along with his recent captaincy and playing style, were reportedly discussed with the owners during his meeting in Dubai.
