**SRINAGAR, Oct 16:** Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has appointed senior National Conference leader Nasir Aslam Wani as his advisor. Wani, a close confidante of Abdullah, previously served as Minister of State between 2009 and 2014, holding several key portfolios.
The appointment was announced through an order issued by the General Administration Department. The specific terms and conditions of Wani’s new role are yet to be disclosed. Wani, who recently lost the assembly election from Kupwara, is the NC provincial president of Kashmir.
