**Lucknow:** Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with the family of Ram Gopal Mishra, who was killed in the recent violence in Bahraich, today. Expressing deep condolences, CM Yogi assured the family of full support and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“The UP government stands firmly with the grieving family with utmost sensitivity and commitment,” CM Yogi stated, sharing a picture of the meeting. “Ensuring justice for the victim is our top priority. The culprits will not be spared at any cost.”
The meeting was attended by the deceased’s parents, wife, and the Bahraich MLA. The family has been vocal in their demand for the perpetrators to be executed. Ram Gopal’s wife, Roli Mishra, told a news channel that they seek retribution in the form of a similar fate for the culprits.
“We are not satisfied with the police investigation,” Roli Mishra stated. “We demand their encounter. Only when these people are punished, and their encounter takes place, will we find peace.”
While acknowledging the family’s pain, CM Yogi’s statement and the meeting aim to reassure the public of a strong response to the violence. However, the family’s demand for swift and harsh punishment, highlighting the widespread anger, poses a challenge for the government.
