**Dibaleng, Assam:** In a worrying incident, eight coaches of the 12520 Agartala-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express derailed near Dibaleng station in Assam’s Lumding division early this morning. While the incident caused major disruption to train services, thankfully no casualties were reported.
The train, which departed from Agartala earlier this morning, derailed at around 3:55 AM on the Lumding-Badarpur Hill section. The derailed coaches included the power car and engine.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the incident, stating that all passengers are safe and are being provided assistance. He also assured the public that relief trains and medical teams are already en route to the accident site.
