**New Delhi, India – October 16, 2024** – The Indian Cabinet has announced a revised price policy for the upcoming Rabi marketing season (2025-26), increasing the minimum support prices (MSP) for six key crops.

The most significant hike was seen in the price of mustard, which saw an increase of nearly ₹300 per quintal. Wheat, the major Rabi crop, also received a boost, with its price rising by ₹150 per quintal.

The new MSPs are as follows:

* **Wheat:** ₹2,425 per quintal (previously ₹2,275)
* **Barley:** ₹1,980 per quintal (previously ₹1,850)
* **Gram:** ₹5,650 per quintal (previously ₹5,400)
* **Lentil:** ₹6,700 per quintal (previously ₹6,425)
* **Mustard:** ₹5,950 per quintal (previously ₹5,650)
* **Safflower:** ₹5,940 per quintal (previously ₹5,800)
