Wed Oct 16 13:45:08 UTC 2024: ## Kerala Government Assures Smooth Sabarimala Pilgrimage for All

**Thiruvananthapuram, October 15, 2024:** Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has assured the state assembly that the government will take all necessary measures to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience for all devotees visiting Sabarimala, including those who have not registered online or are unfamiliar with the process.

Addressing concerns raised by MLA V. Joy, the Chief Minister highlighted that the government has been diligently working to streamline pilgrimage facilities and ensure a safe and hassle-free experience for all devotees.

**Key measures undertaken include:**

* **Enhanced Coordination:** The government has strengthened coordination between the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), police, forest, health, and other relevant departments to provide improved facilities at Sannidhanam, Pamba, and other crucial locations.
* **Medical Services:** Ambulance services will be readily available at Nilakkal and Pamba. 12 emergency medical centers are being established, and more medical centers will be set up along the Karimala route in collaboration with the Forest department. The presence of cardiologists will also be ensured.
* **Infrastructure Improvements:** Priority is being given to maintaining roads and facilities along the forest routes, ensuring a smooth journey for pilgrims arriving from other states.
* **Virtual Queue System:** The virtual queue system, already in place at Sabarimala since 2011, will be further strengthened to manage crowd control and ensure a secure darshan for all. The system allows pilgrims to choose less crowded days for their visit.
* **Daily Pilgrim Information:** Daily updates on the number of registered pilgrims will be provided to the district administration, police, and other departments for better planning and management.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the virtual queue system, similar to those used at major pilgrimage centers like Tirupati, offers a reliable and secure way to manage the influx of devotees.

These measures are aimed at ensuring a safe and comfortable pilgrimage experience for all devotees visiting Sabarimala, regardless of their registration status.
