**Visakhapatnam, October 15, 2024:** Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for heavy rainfall in the coming days as a depression in the Bay of Bengal intensifies. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning, predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in several districts over the next three days.

According to officials, the depression is expected to strengthen and move towards the northwest, potentially turning into a cyclonic storm. The storm is expected to make landfall near the coasts of north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and south coastal Andhra Pradesh by Thursday morning.
