Tue Oct 15 22:07:05 UTC 2024: ## Pochettino Makes Roster Cuts Ahead of Mexico Friendly
**GUADALAJARA, MEXICO (Oct. 13, 2024) –** The U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) has announced five players will depart camp ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Mexico in Guadalajara.
Following the USMNT’s 2-0 victory over Panama in their first match under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino, Christian Pulisic has been released back to AC Milan for load management.
Four other players – Marlon Fossey, Weston McKennie, Ricardo Pepi, and Zack Steffen – have been ruled out due to minor injuries. These players will return to their respective clubs for further evaluation and treatment.
“We are always going to make decisions that are in the best interest of our players and respect the relationship we have with their clubs,” said Pochettino.
The U.S. faces Mexico at Estadio Akron in Jalisco, Guadalajara, on Tuesday, October 15th at 10:30 p.m. ET (TNT, Max, Fútbol de Primera).
The remaining 23-man USMNT roster features a blend of experienced veterans and promising young talent, including goalkeepers Ethan Horvath, Patrick Schulte, and Matt Turner; defenders Kristoffer Lund, Mark McKenzie, Tim Ream, Antonee Robinson, Miles Robinson, Joe Scally, and Auston Trusty; midfielders Brenden Aaronson, Gianluca Busio, Aidan Morris, Yunus Musah, Tanner Tessmann, and Malik Tillman; and forwards Josh Sargent, Brandon Vazquez, Haji Wright, and Alex Zendejas.
