Wed Oct 16 07:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Telugu Desam Party Leader Condemns Removal of NTR Plaque at Nandyal Dairy
**Nandyal:** A heated controversy has erupted in Nandyal following the removal of a plaque commemorating former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao from the premises of the Nandyal Vijay Dairy. Alleging disrespect to the legendary leader, Allugadda MLA Bhuma Akhilapriya, a leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has demanded action against the YSRCP leader and Dairy Chairman, S.V. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Akhilapriya, in a strong statement, denounced the removal of the plaque as a symbol of arrogance on the part of the ruling YSRCP leaders. “This is not modernization, it is disrespect to a great leader,” she declared. The TDP leader further stated that the removal of the plaque, which was placed in the dairy several years ago, was a blatant violation of protocol.
In a symbolic gesture, Akhilapriya visited the dairy and poured milk over the removed plaque, which was kept aside. She also engaged in a verbal exchange with the Dairy Chairman Jagan Mohan Reddy over phone when he called her during a meeting with dairy officials.
This incident has sparked outrage among TDP supporters in Nandyal, who have accused the YSRCP government of attempting to erase the legacy of NTR.
