**EAGAN, Minn.** – The Minnesota Vikings have announced the signing of defensive lineman Jalen Redmond to their practice squad. Redmond was waived from the team’s 53-man roster last Friday.
Redmond, who appeared in two games for the Vikings earlier this season, played a total of 23 defensive snaps against the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers. He made an impressive debut against the Texans, recording a sack in his first NFL game.
The Vikings, who currently hold a perfect 5-0 record, are hoping to bolster their defensive line depth with Redmond’s return to the practice squad. He will be eligible to be promoted to the active roster at any time.
