Tue Oct 15 15:21:34 UTC 2024: ## Sri Lanka Post 164/7, Windies Stumble in Chase

**St. Lucia:** Sri Lanka posted a competitive 164/7 in their first innings of the second T20I against the West Indies.

Pathum Nissanka anchored the Sri Lankan innings with a well-constructed 49 runs off 46 balls, while Kusal Perera chipped in with a quickfire 22 off 14 balls. However, the West Indies bowlers made regular breakthroughs, limiting Sri Lanka’s scoring momentum.

Romario Shepherd was the pick of the Windies bowlers, finishing with figures of 2/23 in his 3 overs. Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph also took a wicket each, while Roston Chase proved economical, conceding only 24 runs in 4 overs.

The West Indies chase got off to a shaky start, losing early wickets to Romario Shepherd. Brandon King and Evin Lewis both fell early, leaving the Windies struggling at 1/2. With a steep chase ahead, the West Indies will need a strong performance in the second half of the innings to level the series.
